Principles of Unity
Hereness: From the Yiddish Doikayt, hereness indicates our commitment to struggling where we are for a future in which Jews and all other peoples have a right to cultural autonomy and non-nationalist self-determination. We, like all peoples, have basic rights to safety, culture, equality, and dignity wherever we find ourselves.
Jewishness: Representing an infinite and diverse constellation of individual interpretations, Jewishness signifies a commitment to engage with and develop Jewish traditions in the direction of universal emancipation.
Solidarity: We stand in the struggle for collective liberation alongside all those marginalized and exploited by systems of oppression including, but not limited to, capitalism, colonialism, and ethnonationalism, which pose existential threats to our communities and planet
