Code of Conduct
We, as members of the International Jewish Labor Bund (IJLB), serve in roles as contributors, collaborators and organizers; and pledge to make participation in the IJLB transparent and harassment free for each other, and the communities in which we operate, regardless of age, family status, body size, visible or invisible disability, ethnicity, sex characteristics, gender identity and/or expression, level of experience, education, physical appearance, socio-economic status, nationality, racialization, relationship to religious observance, sexual identity and/or orientation, or other markers of diversity.
We pledge to act and interact in ways that contribute to open, collaborative, welcoming, diverse, inclusive and healthy communication and organizing. This is done through radical acts of empathy and kindness towards other people, while maintaining a respectful space for differing opinions, viewpoints and experiences, and both giving and taking constructive feedback with grace and interpreting each others' words as charitably as possible.
We pledge to accept responsibility for our actions and mistakes, and apologize honestly and sincerely to those affected by our actions or mistakes.
We pledge to acknowledge, respect and honor everyone's consent and boundaries.
We actively support, center and value Jewishness of all varieties, regardless of Jewish parentage (or lack thereof), denomination, level or nature of observance, or cultural identity.
We do not exclude or value one particular interpretation of Jewishness above any others.
